Update the ODOO Community blog post to the live copy

The post carried the planned/September copy ("scheduled to go online on the
06.10.2026"). Body replaced verbatim with the supplied live copy (1379 bytes,
2 h2, 221 words), post-meta -> October 27, 2026 · News, meta/og description
refreshed, title/canonical/chrome/og:image unchanged.

- blog/index.json: the existing entry moved to first, date 2026-10-27,
 teaser = first 120 chars of the new first paragraph (text splice).
- sitemap.xml: one new
as the first 0.6 blog entry (24 -> 25 <loc>).
- work/verify-html.py: page added to FILES (in webmaster/work, not in repo).

ODOO Community is scheduled to go online on the 06.10.2026. Alongside that step, the team behind ODOO4projects is working hard on upgrading its server modules, with the goal of delivering the best possible ODOO4projects service on Odoo 20.

ODOO Community is online. Behind that switch we spent the last weeks upgrading our server modules, so every ODOO4projects instance now runs on Odoo 20 — same service, newer engine.

It is an upgrade cycle with more than one headline. Here is what is planned.

Two things moved at once: the platform moved forward, and the parts of Odoo we work with every day moved with it. Here is what we found worth showing.

An MCP server that lets your coding agent run your instance

The most interesting piece of this update is an MCP server designed to hand everyday instance management to your coding agent. Instead of switching between tools and dashboards, the agent would be able to handle the routine work directly.

The planned capabilities include:

What caught our eye in Odoo 20

Reading logfiles — so problems can be spotted and investigated without digging through them manually.

Restarting your ODOO — a frequent, mundane task that no longer needs to interrupt your flow.

Pushing new modules — deploying new functionality as part of the same workflow.

Recurring revenues in CRM — subscription-style revenue sits next to the pipeline instead of in a spreadsheet beside it.

Click and collect for eCommerce — customers buy online and pick up locally, which is how a lot of small businesses actually sell.

llms.txt — welcome ChatGPT to your site — the same idea we use for our own AI-SEO: your site describes itself to AI assistants in a file they can read.

A cleaner website builder — continued cleanup and a new widget for the site editor.

In short: less clicking around, more letting your agent do the operational heavy lifting while you focus on the work that actually moves your project forward.

The console gets the attention next

Analytics with AI on the backend

We are not done. The next round of work lands in the management console — and the MCP server that lets your agent restart a server, read the logfiles or install a module is only one part of it. If you run an instance day to day, that is the area to watch.

The second major improvement is on the analytics side. AI is being added to the backend to make the numbers more useful — not just more numerous.

The aim is to surface better, more actionable tips for running your ODOO, so the data you already have starts pointing at concrete improvements instead of leaving you to interpret dashboards on your own.

What this means for you

Three things are being prepared at once: a community that is online, server modules upgraded for Odoo 20, and a service layer that leans on AI — both for hands-on instance management through the MCP server and for the insights you get from your analytics.

Details, timing, and the exact shape of each feature will follow as the work progresses. Until then, the direction is clear: a more capable ODOO4projects, built on Odoo 20, and far more automated for the people running it day to day.

Stay tuned so you do not miss the go live — and follow #ODOO4projects to keep up with every update as it lands.

Stay tuned: we publish what lands, when it lands.
